New Additions to Clean Energy Works’ Leadership Team

By: Jenna Barron

We are delighted to announce that Carol Davey has joined Clean Energy Works as our new Director of Just Energy Transition and Andrew Ladd has joined as our new Director of Operations. These two new hires continue the strengthening of our leadership team and positions Clean Energy Works for further growth and success in the field.

Carol Davey brings extensive experience in working with fenceline and shoreline communities at the intersection of clean energy, local economies, and just and equitable policy and advocacy. Carol’s journey began as a high school student when she organized alongside her neighbors to successfully pass a bond levy to relocate the school further away from her hometown which was bought and demolished by a utility company. Carol’s impactful work in the conservation voter movement over the past five years has focused on creating more equitable and just pathways for people to engage in change-making efforts. She played a foundational role as a member of the Ohio Climate Justice Fund’s Advisory Board and was an inaugural member of the Highlander Research and Education Center’s Appalachian Just Transition Fellowship. She holds degrees from Berea College and a Master’s Degree in International Peace Studies from Trinity College Dublin.

Andrew Ladd joins us as our Director of Operations, bringing over thirty years of invaluable experience in operational, data, and financial management across nonprofit, private, and public sectors. Previously Andrew served as the Director of Operations for Georgia Organics and as a Senior Manager in the Department of Finance at the city of Atlanta. In the energy sector, Andrew held the position of State Utilities Program Coordinator in the Energy Resources Division for the Georgia Environmental Finance Authority. Andrew holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Georgia and a Master of Business Administration from Georgia State University.

Our current Director of Operations, Jenna Barron, will be transitioning to a new role of Director of Development and Communications. Jenna has been with Clean Energy Works for more than five years and has held a variety of roles during that time as the organization grew from two to eight employees. We are excited that the continued growth of Clean Energy Works in service to demand from the field has allowed us to establish specialized roles and develop efficient teams. With these new additions, Clean Energy Works is well-positioned to further accelerate inclusive investments for equitable solutions
